Khumjung was a side trip/acclimatization hike from the town of Namche Bazar (3550m) on the Everest Three Passes Trek. It is about a 13km and ~600m loop. We went counter clockwise, visiting the Everest View Hotel (highest 5-star hotel on earth!) for tea, then circled up to Khumjung to visit the temple (which was under construction), walk by the Hillary School where the kids were outside doing the triple-jump during gym class, then back down to Namche Bazar for the afternoon.
